Tsipras - Cyprus: Abolition of guarantees, withdrawal of occupying troops necessary for solution
A fair and sustainable solution to the Cyprus issue to the benefit of the Greek Cypriots and the Turkish Cypriots can only be achieved based on the UN resolutions and the status of the Republic of Cyprus as an EU member state, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Tuesday in Parliament.
A prerequisite for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus problem is the abolition of invasive rights and guarantees and the withdrawal of occupying troops, the prime minister noted.
