Light earthquakes in the Ionian Sea
Two earthquakes measuring 4.6 and 4.2 on the Richter scale were recorded in the Ionian Seam south of Zakynthos on Thursday.
The first tremors struck at 11:02 and the second a couple of minutes later.
The epicentre of the quakes was located 33 km and 31 km southwest of Zakynthos island with focal depth 5km and 2.8km respectively.
The island has been experiencing several strong aftershocks following a temblor on October 26 measured 6.4 on the Richter scale.
