Job hirings to departures ratio the best since 2001, Labor Ministry says
A total of 168,282 new hirings took place in the Greek private sector from January to October 2018, according to the Labor Ministry’s job-related database "Ergani" released Friday.
During the first ten months of the year, there were a total of 2,287,876 work positions advertised and 2,119,594 departures.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the hirings to departures balance was the best since 2001.
The October 2018 balance of hiring to departures balance was negative, according to Ergani, by 120,087. Specifically, there were 229,959 advertised work positions against 350,046 departures.
