Black Friday: European Consumer Centre Ombudsman advises Greek consumers
"Greek consumers must make market research and compare prices before purchasing any products on 'Black Friday'", Ombudsman and Director of the European Consumer Centre of Greece Athina Kontogianni said in a statement to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
"Any extravagant offers must be dealt with caution. Consumers must first make research and compare prices so that they are sure about the real benefit. Online research is a useful tool and makes it easier to compare and locate real opportunities. We remind consumers that fictitious offers are a misleading commercial practice and are forbidden," she said.
She also advised consumers to keep all the evidence of their transactions in order to be able to exercise their rights if any problem arises.
