Government exited memoranda and took social measures, spokesman Tzanakopoulos says
"Not only did the government manage to exit the (loan) memorandum without new measures, but it also took social measures to relieve citizens," government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said on Thursday in an interview with 'Sto Kokkino' radio station.
The linking of social security contributions with real income created terms of justice and reduced contributions compared to the previous years, he added.
Commenting on 2019 budget, he said that the 2019, 2020 and 2021 primary surplus targets will be met, and added that more fiscal room is being created every year.
Regarding the social dividend, he said that we have to wait for a few more days to examine all figures before announcements are made by the prime minister and the Finance Ministry.
