Nine undocumented migrants found inside container in Piraeus port

Nine undocumented migrants were found by the crew of the cargo vessel "Stadt Dresden" late on Thursday night, hidden inside a container at the Piraeus port container terminal.
It is believed that the migrants found a way to hide inside the container loaded onto the ship at a Moroccan port in order to reach a European country. The ship had left Morocco with a stopover in Piraeus.
The Greek Coast Guard was informed about the migrants, while according to sources, they have not requested political asylum and expressed the wish to continue their voyage to another country. They are currently housed in cabins on board the "Stadt Dresden", which is carrying about 800 containers.
