Fourth SYRIZA seat in Athens West Sector finally goes to Papachristopoulos
Thanassis Papachristopoulos will finally get the fourth SYRIZA seat in West Sector of Athens, following the conclusion of a recount requested by SYRIZA candidate Panagiotis Kouroumblis, it was announced on Sunday.
The result of the recount did not change the original count, with Papachristopoulos winning the seat with 13,912 votes, just six more than former minister Kouroumblis.
In statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, Kouroumblis claimed that the recount was not yet complete, with another 141 polling stations remaining where the recount would be carried out on Monday.
