During the meeting, which was held on Tuesday, Bratakos presented the ACCI's priorities with respect to boosting exports and attracting investment capital, while referring to the current difficult global situation due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In this context, he noted that the actions of the chamber with respect to bilateral trade relations were subject to the constraints of the Greek state's economic diplomacy planning and its membership of organisations such as the EU and NATO.

The ambassador, on his part, said there was now a possibility to expand bilateral trade relations:

"In recent years, due to external factors, there was a downturn in trade activity between us. Given that it now appears that these obstacles are being smoothed over, there is an ideal opportunity to explore Greek-Iranian cooperation," Naderi said.

He also reported strong interest in organising an Iranian business mission to Athens for the Posidonia exhibition, saying it would be a good opportunity to organise b2b meetings and explore the possibilities for networking and collaboration.
