Michailidou: 35 million allocated for early intervention in children with developmental disorders

The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs Domna Michailidou, referred to the Early Intervention Programme of 35 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Fund at an event organised by ELEPAP-Rehabilitation for The Disabled.
Specifically, she spoke about the ministry's new programme which aims to ensure quality early intervention services for 2,500 children aged 0-6 years who have or are at high risk of developing developmental disorders. The programme applies to insured or uninsured children with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, genetic syndromes, visual or hearing impairments, speech disorders or motor difficulties.
Through the programme, Michailidou said, families of these children will receive vouchers of up to 800 euros per month for early intervention services from accredited providers.
