Eurogroup to start at 16:00; many scenarios on the table
Eurozone Finance Ministers will meet later on Thursday in Luxembourg with the aim to reach a political agreement on the Greek issue that will be acceptable by all sides.
The EuroWorking Group will convene before the Eurogroup meeting during which the representatives of the institutions will present their report on the implementation of prior actions by the Greek government. According to officials' statements the decision is expected to be positive something that will allow the disbursement of the next tranche.
The annual meeting of the board of the ESM will take place in Luxembourg at 13:30. ESM's chief Klaus Regling will present to eurozone ministers the annual ESM report on the Eurozone countries in which the programme was applied.
At 15:30 (Athens time) statements will be made to the press by Klaus Regling, Jeroen Dijsselbloem and Gertrude Tumpel-Gugerell.
The Eurogroup meeting is scheduled to start at 16:00 (Athens time). Diplomatic sources told Athens Macedonian News Agency on Wednesday that despite the fact that an agreement has been not reached yet, it is possible to happen during Thursday's Eurogroup meeting. A basis for a possible agreement may be the French proposal on linking debt servicing with growth however, nobody can make predictions because many scenarios are on the table of the negotiations.
