Deputy Sports Minister enraged over neo-Nazis at OAKA stadium

Deputy Sports Minister Giorgos Vassiliadis strongly denounced the emergence of neo-Nazis in the game of the Greek national team with Estonia for the Nations League.

In a statement to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA), he underlined that we should not leave any room to people nostalgic of Hitler to express themselves.

He admitted that what happened at OAKA stadium caused him rage and frustration and made clear that only if society and the state condemn these phenomena they would not appear again.

The Deputy Minister of Sports made it clear that it is not just the will of the state to remove these people from the stadiums: "First of all, what we are calling for is the implementation of the anti-racist law. There is a sufficient legal framework. Moreover, we are examining with UEFA the new framework for safety that will deal with these issues.”
