Federica Mogherini on first anniversary from the signing of Prespes Agreement
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on Monday made the following statement for the one-year anniversary from the signing of the Prespes Agreement.
"I would like to start with something positive because today it is the one-year anniversary from the signing of the historic Prespes Agreement between Greece and North Macedonia. I believe that we must remind ourselves the authority's strength and courage and the positive steps taken in the western Balkans and I hope that the state-members will remember these steps forward, particularly in the coming days when a serious decision will be reached for the start of the negotiations for the accession of Albania and North Macedonia to the EU. I hope and believe that this should happen as soon as possible" Mogherini said.
