Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.41 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was also up 0.63 percent.

On individual sector indices the biggest gains were in Personal Products (+1.05 percent) and in Technology (+0.88 percent). The only losses were in Public Utilities (-0.17 percent) and in Telecoms (-0.07 percent).

Of the stocks traded, 37 were up, 8 were down and 7 were unchanged.
