Major wildfire reported at Volimes on Zakynthos
A major fire that was burning uncontrollably broke out shortly after 16:00 on Sunday in the Volimes region on the island of Zakynthos.

A large fire-fighting force consisting of 51 fire men and 16 fire engines, two teams of fire-fighters on foot, six fire-fighting planes and two helicopters was sent to put out the flames.
There are strong winds blowing in the area and the authorities are considering the evacuation of the village nearby.
