Decisions on mandatory vaccination for certain jobs to be announced next week, Peloni says
"The government will next week announce its decisions regarding making vaccination mandatory for certain categories of employees, as it already has the relevant recommendations of the Bioethics Committee," government spokesperson Aristotelia Peloni said in response to questions during the press briefing on Thursday.
Asked which categories of jobs will be affected, she urged "patience until next week". Announcements at the start of next week will also be made on the issue of separating places of entertainment into "mixed" and 'Covid-free' venues, she added, noting that the pandemic was a situation in constant flux.
She also repeated a message urging authorities and influential figures in society, including the Church, to persuade those still hesitating to get vaccinated, stressing that vaccination was the only weapon against variants of the virus and to "get our lives back".
