Prosecutor investigating 'corona-party' in Alimos beach bar
The public prosecutor's department on Thursday announced the launch of an investigation into a party organised at a beach bar in the Alimos area a few days ago, to determine whether this had violated measures for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Based on videos posted on social media and witness accounts, the party broke all health and hygiene rules, with hundreds of young people attending without taking any protection measures against Covid-19.
Witnesses at the scene reported an "out-of-control" situation, with the beach and every space within the bar completely full and a huge queue outside. According to one person that attended, there were at least 2,000 people at the party, which started at 21:00 and ended at 2:30 in the morning.
