Elderly residents at Thessaloniki private clinic infected with Covid-19
A number elderly people at a clinic in the area of Thermi, Thessaloniki have been infected with Covid-19 and at least seven were taken to hospital, it was announced on Friday.
The seven people were originally to be transferred to the "Papanikolaou" General Hospital in the city but the hospital finally admitted only five women, while two others were taken to Thessaloniki's AHEPA hospital.
"Out of the five women admitted to Papanikolaou hospital, four are in good condition (three are aged between 80 and 90 and one is a younger woman with an underlying condition) while the fifth case needs more attention," said the coordinator for the pandemic at Papanikolaou hospital Diamantis Floros to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Friday.
The other two residents are at AHEPA hospital and their condition is currently being evaluated, according to sources.
