Economou: PM will address the citizens on the pandemic and the continuous efforts made
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will address the citizens on Thursday about the pandemic and the continuous effort to stop it and manage its consequences, government spokesperson Yannis Economou said on Thursday during a press briefing.
Earlier on Thursday morning, the prime minister signed a decision for requisitioning the services of private doctors for the national health system, Economou said.
The strategy being followed by the government primarily aims at health safety but also the need to not shut down the economy and keep society open. The pandemic is stubborn and creates a web of consequences for Greece, which require planning, strategy and dedication to the goal in order to be tackled and overcome, the spokesperson added.
"This is what our government did and continues to do," said Economou.
