KINAL parliamentary group meets under new leader for first time
Newly elected party leader of Movement for Change (KINAL) Nikos Androulakis held the first meeting of the parliamentary group under his leadership on Tuesday, and called for party unity.
Following his proposals, Larissa MP Evangelia Liakouli was unanimously approved as new secretary of the group.
Addressing himself to the group that included two fellow-candidates for the leadership, George Papandreou and Andreas Loverdos, Androulakis said "I consider all of you colleagues, and that is the way forward." He added that the base of the party pointed the way, that of "renewing ourselves, remaining united, and guaranteeing our political independence with a reliable socialdemocratic plan. This mandate we all ought to respect, most of all myself."
The goal forward, he stressed, was "to make our party large again," to make it "a power of hope for Greek men and women."
