Actor Dimitris Lignadis to stand trial on charges of rape on February 11

Lignadis, who is currently imprisoned on remand at Tripoli prison, has been accused in connection with four instances of rape after a report made by two minors in February, followed by another report by an adult victim in March.

He is to remain in prison until trial, as he is judged a high risk for committing a repeat offence based on the accounts of his victims, who accused him of abusing his social, professional and financial position in order to build up relations of trust and dependence with them.
