Katrougalos: Greece should return to an acitve multidimensional foreign policy
Greece must return to an active, multidimensional foreign policy, main opposition SYRIZA's sector head for foreign affairs Giorgos Katrougalos underlined after his meeting on Tuesday with Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.
Katrougalos had just attended one of the individual briefings on current foreign policy issues being given by Dendias to each of the parliamentary party representatives.
Katrougalos accused the government of "a policy of embellishing reality and in some cases distorting it, [also extending to] the foreign policy sector".
He said that SYRIZA supports the need for a different policy, which is active and does not put things off. "Now that Turkey is in talks with EU on upgrading the customs union, we should make it a condition that there is recourse to the Hague over our difference regarding our maritime economic zones," Katrougalos added.
