FM Dendias in Pristina on Wednesday
Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, will visit Pristina on Wednesday, June 8 2022, according to a foreign ministry's announcement.
The minister will be received by the President, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, as well as by Besnik Bislimi, First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue and Chief Negotiator in the Pristina-Belgrade Dialogue.
During his stay in Pristina, Dendias is expected to have a joint meeting with representatives of the International Community in Pristina (UNMIK, Council of Europe, OSCE, EULEX, EU/EUSR Office, KFOR and Ambassadors from the Quint countries, namely France, Germany, the UK, the USA and Italy).
In addition, a joint meeting between Dendias and the Ministers of Education, Science, Technology & Innovation, Arberie Nagavci, and Culture, Youth & Sports, Harjulla Ceku is also scheduled.
Lastly, the foreign minister will hold a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, followed by a dinner to be hosted in his honour by the Kosovar Prime Minister.
Discussions during the visit are expected to focus on cooperation between Athens and Pristina in various fields, such as economy, energy, culture, science, health, education and tourism. In addition, the agenda of the talks will include the European perspective of the Western Balkans and developments regarding the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.
It is noted that Dendias met with the Kosovar Foreign Minister, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz (who will be absent today), on the sidelines of the Delphi Economic Forum VII (in April), following her visit to Athens in January. Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias visited Pristina in June 2021 and October 2020.
