Economou: All operational protocols implemented from first moment of Antonov plane crash
Government spokesperson Yiannis Economou on Tuesday began his briefing of the press by referring to the tragic crash of an Antonov cargo plane in Antifilippi last Saturday.
According to Economou, all operational protocols were followed from the first moment of the accident, such as the cordonning off of the area and the message sent to local inhabitants via the emergency number 112 to take all the necessary precautions.
Economou said that the bodies of the Antonov crew have been collected, while the collection of scattered ammunition that the plane was carrying and debris from the plane is continuing at the site of the crash.
He also referred to the Greek foreign ministry's demarches to Belgrade and to the Ukrainian Ambassador to Greece.
