The members of the UN Security Council encouraged all sides in Cyprus to maintain the profits from the conference recently held in Crans Montana.
The UN Security Council was briefed by United Nations Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide and Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar.
According to RIK TV channel, the Chinese president of the Security Council Liu Jieyi congratulated the leadership of the United Nations and specifically the secretary general and his associates who worked hard for an agreement.
«The members of the Security Counctil will continue to provide their support,» he said and urged all sides to «reflect on the best possible way to resume the negotiation process.»
