Death toll from floods rises to 16 after body is pulled out of basement in Nea Peramos
The body of another man was recovered by the Fire Brigade on Thursday from the basement of his house in the area of Gefyraki in Nea Peramos, which was one of the towns hit most severely by flash floods yesterday.
The death of the man, around 50 years old, raises the death toll from the floods to 16.
Rescue teams are still looking for another four missing people.
