Low VAT on islands will be maintained with successive extensions, say gov't sources
The low VAT on the islands will be maintained with successive extensions as long as the migration crisis exists, stated government sources to Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Saturday.
It is reminded that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras announced on Friday that after the conclusion of the EU Summit in Brussels, the government will suspend the VAT hike in five islands of the eastern Aegean.
The prime minister said the the measure will be applied for as far as he is concerned and as long as he is prime minister there will be not VAT hike on these islands.
