Insurance damages from September storms estimated at 7.0 million euros
The value of damages from extreme weather conditions that swept part of the country in September 27-30 is estimated at 7.0 million euros, the Association of Insurance Companies of Greece said in a report released on Wednesday.
The report was based on data offered by 30 insurance companies based on damages suffered on 1,148 cases of property, cars and boats. Damages on property totaled 6.5 million euros on an insured value of 1.36 billion euros (764 million in Attica, 270 million in Korinthia and 165 million in Argolida). Damages on insured cars total 519,000 euros, while damages on insured boats totaled 62,000 euros.
