Turkish fighter jets fly over the islands of Oinousses without submitting flight plan

According to the Greek National Defence General Staff, a pair of Turkish military aircrafts entered Athens FIR without submitting a flight plan at 10:43 and flew over the island of Oinousses. The Turkish formation flew again over the same islands at 10:48 and at 10:59. The F-16 fighter jets left Athens FIR at 11:00.

The Turkish military aircarfts were recognised and intercepted by Greek fighter jets.

Earlier on Thursday, a pair of Turkish fighter jets had flown over the island of Kastellorizo at an altitude of 4,000 feet.
