Sunny over the weekend with strong winds in the Aegean
The weather will be sunny over the weekend and on Monday (a national holiday for the start of the 1821 Greek Revolution against Ottoman Rule), however strong winds are expected to blow in the Aegean, the National Observatory of Athens meteo service said.
The temperatures are going to reach 20C in Athens and 18C in Thessaloniki.
According to the available data, strong northerly winds reaching up to 8 on the Beaufort scale are going to blow on Saturday and 9 Beaufort on Sunday in the Aegean.
Passengers planning to travel by ferry should contact the local port authorities or their travel agent to check for possible changes or cancellations of scheduled ferry journeys.
