MeRA25 to vote against bill on voting rights of Greeks abroad

The opposition MeRA25 party on Mondy announced that it will vote against the proposed legislation for granting voting rights to Greeks abroad, agreed by the government and other oppostion parties, which it said "mocked and violated" the political rights of the diaspora.
The party stressed that it fully backed the rights of Greeks abroad to participate in elections, concentrating its criticism on the draft legislation's "unheard-of proposal" that Greeks abroad will be able to cast their vote in local consulates but not elect candidates in a specific constituency.
