Petsas urges Greeks to compare government's first 100 days with previous government
INTIME NEWS

"Any Greek citizen can compare the first 100 days of (Prime Minister Kyriakos) Mitsotakis' government with the first 100 days of (former prime minister Alexis) Tsipras' government, after the January 2015 elections, and draw their own conclusions," government spokesperson Stelios Petsas said on Wednesday in an interview with Praktoreio 104.9 FM, during his visit to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency's offices in Thessaloniki.

Referring to the six pillars of "governability" outlined by Mitsotakis in Thessaloniki on Tuesday, and reiterating the prime minister's statement at the official dinner of the Cultural Centre of Thessaloniki, Petsas focused on the sixth pillar regarding a sense of responsibility. As he explained, Mitsotakis was referring to the responsibility of the political leader, the person that society has entrusted with the task of leading Greece out of the crisis while implementing the promises made before the elections.

"He is doing everything he can in the first 100 days to keep his promises, and some of them have been fulfilled even faster, such as the 22 pct reduction in ENFIA in 2019, instead of 2020. A key element, he said, is the selection of the right people for the right position. This is a difficult issue, because political balances often impose other types of allocations. But, Kyriakos Mitsotakis has proved that he is looking for the right people who can do the job at the end of the day. Because, in the end, we will all be judged by the outcome," the government spokesman stressed.
