FM Dendias meets Arab League sec gen Ahmed Aboul Gheit
Regional developments, with focus on Syria and Libya, were at the centre of Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias' meeting with the Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
Dendias received the Egyptian head of the Arab League, at 9:20 am, at the Foreign Ministry. In addition to regional developments, they also discussed the international developments and the relationship of the Arab League with Greece. This is the second time the Greek Foreign Minister has met with the Secretary General of the Arab League, as they had their first meeting in September, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
A meeting between Dendias and his Bangladeshi counterpart, Abul Kalam Abdul Momen, is underway.
The talks will focus on issues of bilateral, regional and international interest, according to a statement from the foreign ministry.
At the end of the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs on cooperation in the field of diplomatic education.
