Suspected coronavirus case stops ferry «Blue Star Mykonos» at Limnos

Some 127 passengers on the ferry boat "Blue Star Mykonos" - where a crew member has presented with symptoms of a possible coronavirus infection - were on Thursday allowed to disembark from the vessel at the port of Limnos.

The passengers have been advised by local health authorities and the National Organisation for Public Health that they should remain confined at home until the results of the test on the crew member come out.

There are currently 341 passengers and 77 crew on the "Blue Star Mykonos" at this time, while a sample taken from the sailor will be sent to AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki to determine whether the seaman is another case of COVID-19.

The ship had set sail from Kavala for Piraeus at 21:30, on a route stopping at Limnos, Agios Efstratios, Mytilene, Chios, Vathy in Samos, Karlovasi, Fourni, Agios Kyrikos, Mykonos and Syros.
