Government trying to keep affected sectors viable, Georgiadis says

"Restaurants are in no hurry to open," Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Thursday in an interview with Mega TV.

Government trying to keep affected sectors viable, Georgiadis says

"They do not want to open with [limited space for customers], because this will make their operation unprofitable. They want, when they open, to be sure that they will open and then not close again. This is the official opinion of the sector," he underlined.

He said that a plan for reopening of winter tourism was still on the table, but "that prioritisation is decided on by the government. We are trying to keep the affected sectors viable."

Regarding the reopening of retail trade, Georgiadis appeared satisfied with the first three days. "We were vindicated by the first three days. The turnover is very high and the safety measures are being followed," he underlined.
