Extremely low temperatures recorded on Wednesday
Very low temperatures prevailed in the country on Wednesday during the second phase of the cold front Medea, according to the National Observatory of Athens weather service, meteo.gr.
The lowest temperature was recorded at Neos Kafkasos in Florina and was -24.8C.
The town of Ptolemaida followed with -20.4C, Kilada of Kozani with -19.9C, the town of Florina with -18.9C and the town of Grevena with -17.3C.
The strongest wind gust was recorded at Porto on Tinos island, measuring 121 km/h.
