Peloni: Greece, Turkey continuing contacts on economic & trade collaborations
Greece and Turkey have held differing viewpoints in the past and still do, but at the same time there is a willingness "to promote a positive agenda and a range of collaborations in the economy and trade sectors," government spokesperson Aristotelia Peloni said on Wednesday.
In an interview on Skai 100.3FM, she said that such collaborations in low-politics sectors "are very important, as they can contribute to contacts between the two peoples and create a climate of deescalation and of improved relations."
Peloni added that related actions were discussed between Greek and Turkish officials during the Foreign minister's recent visit to Turkey, and both sides agreed to a follow-up, "which we expect will be scheduled very soon."
