Marinakis: Greek universities usher into 2026 with major reforms
"2026 finds Greek public universities without eternal students, after 309,000 cancellations were completed, without occupations at facilities, with approximately 30% additional funding compared to 2019 and with the world's largest universities, such as Yale and Harvard, giving them a vote of confidence through partnering with them," govenrment spokesman Pavlos Marinakis said in a post on the Internet.
"Those of us who have graduated from a public university know very well how many opportunities were lost for decades. But now things are changing and the only protagonists of higher education, namely students and professors, are taking back what they have been asking for for decades," the government spokesman underlined.
