Tsiaras: Common sense must prevail

The hope that, even at the last moment, common sense will prevail and farmers will understand that the only way to solve their problems is to come to the dialogue table, was expressed by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiaras, in an interview with ERTNEWS, underlining that "this is dictated by common sense and nothing more."

As announced by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, the minister clarified that the government has already taken substantial steps to respond to the demands of the agricultural world, noting that 20 out of the 27 demands of the producers have either been satisfied or are in the implementation phase.

Ηe set as a necessary condition for convergence "that we sit down honestly with each other and with sincerity", noting that the government has proven its serious and responsible attitude towards the primary sector. As he said, "these 3.82 billion euros were granted, something that no one can question, because everything is written and specific."
