"Stelios Kechris": The Greek wines in Boston!
The Kechri family started its course in the wine business in 1911, when Evangelos Kechris imported glass bottles from the U.S., to bottle his wine, something unprecedented for his time.
From 1939 his sons served retsina and wine in the traditional family tavern in old Thessaloniki, while from 1954 they established the winery-distillery "Kechris Bros". In 1984 winemaker Stelios Kechris, representing the third generation of the family and based on the oenological studies in Greece and France, took the reins modernizing the production process based on international standards, whilst maintaining loyalty to tradition and quality that has always characterized the products of his family. Today, the oenological team, flanked by Eleni Kechri (chemical engineer and oenologue of Bordeaux II), already consists of three oenologists and wine making is performed with the utmost scientific care in the newly built modern facilities of the estate of 2000sqm. Stelios Kechris, knowing that "a glass of wine can make history" and now flanked by the fourth generation of his family, invites you to experience 100 years of history.

In the markets of Boston!
With absolute success, the startup of the estate "Stelios Kechris" in the market in Boston, USA began.
With the start of cooperation with local distributors, the company based practice to promote its products. The Tears of the Pine, Amber, Genesis (white and red), Fourth Dimension (white and red) and Secret were presented and tested in May at strategic points of Boston, with the contribution and presence of the Head of Export Sales, Kostas Theodoridis.
Specifically, the three cellars held tastings and consumers were enthusiastic, as many of them bought the estate wines. The two wines of the Genesis series were treated warmly by the Americans, who were impressed by the excellent price-quality ratio, while the Tears of the Pine and the Fourth Dimension (white) stole the show earning enthusiastic reviews. The actions have been a major event in a main restaurant in Boston, where influential guests, mainly from the sectors of focus and marketing wines and beverages, enjoyed the fine wines of the estate escorted with high culinary creations.
The active participation of both Vangelis, his brother Stelios Kechris, representative of the company in the U.S. and Maria Kechris, responsible of the creative department, secured the perfect organization and complete success of the event, which was covered by the National Herald of New York, the largest print and electronic media tool of the Greek community in USA.
