The Turks sent a… message to Dendias
Incredible provocation during the visit of Defense Minister in Ro - What was told by the Turkish radar in Greek pilots of the helicopter carrying the minister.
"You are flying in Turkish FIR. Please leave". With these words, which were heard yesterday afternoon from the Turkish radar, the "neighbors" tried once again to create impressions, while the helicopter of the Greek army was carrying the Defense Minister Nikos Dendias from Strongyli to Ro.
Together with Mr. Dendias, in the helicopter were the Chief of Defense and the Chief of Staff. Officers of the General Staff say that the incident is not considered as serious. The crew of the helicopter did not respond to the challenge and continued normally its flight.
Shortly afterwards Mr. Dendias sent a message from Kastellorizo: "I would like to say something for our neighbors: Greece is honored to have relationship of peace and friendship with all peoples. But also is absolutely determined to defend both its national sovereignty and national dignity. And you, here on the island, you are the living proof of this decision of the Fatherland".
