Weather expected to deteriorate, with storms and hail from Saturday night
The weather in Greece is expected to deteriorate sharply from Saturday night, with last week's mini-heatwave giving way to strong rain and winds, storms and possibly hail.
The bad weather will sweep across the country from the north on Sunday, starting in Macedonia, west Central Greece and the Ionian islands and gradually moving toward Thessaly, the Sporades islands, western Peloponnese and the eastern mainland, Evia and northeast Peloponnese by Sunday night.
On Monday, the weather front is expected to affect most parts of the country, extending even to the more northern Cyclades islands and Thrace, with the most intense weather expected in central Macedonia, Thessaly, the Sporades islands and Evia.
