Vessel with 110 refugees aboard located south of Methoni
A vessel with 110 refugees aboard was located 54 nautical miles southwest of Sapienza islet, south of Methoni, the Peloponnese.
According to the Greek Coast Guard, one of the passengers sent a distress signal via OLYMPIA RADIO that the vessel had suffered mechanical damages.
Five ships have rushed to the area to assist while a frontex vessel and a Coast Guard vessel are on their way.
