Wildfire near Dafni in western Athens under partial control
A wildfire that broke out in a stand of pine trees just beyond the Dafni area, on the outskirts of western Athens heading toward Corinth, was now partially under control, the fire brigade said late on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire-fighting forces remain at the scene to ensure the fire is fully controlled.
A team of 30 fire fighters with 12 fire engines had been sent to put out the blaze.
