Work stoppages by Athens' bus workers on Tuesday, Thursday
Athens public transport bus drivers and staff have announced work stoppages on Tuesday and Thursday this week, in protest against the closure of the bus depot at Elliniko and overall cutbacks to public transport services.
On Tuesday the buses will be parked from the start of the shift until 09:00 and from 21:00 until the end of the shift. A second work stoppage will follow on Thursday from 11:00 to 17:00. A protest rally has been scheduled on the same day in front of OSY (Road Transport) headquarters in Athens.
