Firefighters called to two fires in Thessaloniki
Firefighters were called to put out fires in two areas of Thessaloniki early Saturday, in Sykies and Kalamaria, said authorities.
In Sykies, three rubbish bins had been set alight at around 1:30. Two fire trucks with five firemen rushed to the scene to put out the fire. The police detained five youths in connection to the event and released them shortly aftrewards.
Later at 4:45, a parked motorcycle was set on fire in front of an apartment building in Kalamaria. When the firefighters reached the fire scene, the motorcyle had been completely destroyed.
