Tsipras: Our aim is investments that will create new jobs
US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross held a dinner to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras with the participation of executives from American energy, commerce, innovation, industry, construction and IT companies. Investment funds and banks interested in investing in Greece also participated.
According to sources, the prime minister referred to the Greek economy "that has regained its stability and it is recovering", as well as "the development dynamics of Greece, emerging from a long period of austerity and recession."
During his meetings with US officials, the prime minister spoke of Greece's advantages after the conclusion of the adjustment programmes as well as Greece's geopolitical importance as a pillar of stability in southeastern Mediterranean.
"Our target now is attracting investments that will create new jobs," he underlined.
