Defence Min Apostolakis: What exists is what the treaties and the international law say
"Anyone can say whatever he wants. The truth is what exists and what the international law and the treaties say" stated Defence Minister Evangelos Apostolakis late Saturday to Athens-Macedonian News Agency commenting Turkey's recent provocative stance from the island of Kastellorizo.
The minister commenting the way the residents of the easternmost Greek island are dealing with the Turkish provocations and their cool attitude he said "they are doing very well; they are calm and feel safe. We are taking all the necessary measures and we very well aware of what is happening" he said to ANA adding that its the Armed Forces' job to give the feeling of security to all the citizens and mostly to the residents of the remote Greek islands.
