Athens Stock Exchange opening: Decline

Equity prices were dropping on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE). The basic share price index was down 0.76 percent, standing at 725.92 points at 11.00 and turnover at 4.95 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.48 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was down 0.13 percent.
Individual sector indices were moving mostly downwards with the heaviest losses in Banks (-1.41 percent) and Financial Services (-0.31 percent). The biggest gains were in Oil (+0.58 percent) and in Constructions (+0.31 percent).
Of the stocks traded, 25 were up, 19 were down and 27 were unchanged.
