European leaders 'close but not there yet' on deciding top EU jobs, Tsipras says

"We are close but not there yet," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Monday, in reply to press questions on whether European leaders had reached agreement on who should occupy the top jobs in key European Union institutions.
Tsipras departed from Brussels immediately after the special meeting of the European Council, which is to continue at 11:00 on Tuesday morning, was adjourned. The Greek prime minister will head to the city of Iraklio, Crete where he is scheduled to address a SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance election campaign rally at 20:30.
