Police in Thessaloniki have launched an investigation to discover what led to the injury of a foreign national found covered in blood at the junction of Aesopou and Enotikon streets on Monday morning.

Investigation launched into injury of foreign national in Thessaloniki — EUROKINISI (ΑΡΧΕΙΟ)

The man had sustained injuries possibly inflicted with a sharp implement and was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

Police officers are gathering witness accounts regarding the incident and are also investigating the possibility that the man was injured while attempting to rob two other foreign nationals, who responded with violence.
